We had a delightful meeting on Wednesday, June 10 at Sunbury Village in Bangor. Our host let us use their sunny and open activity room for our meeting. We had three guests and seven members in attendance.
Kevin Tremblay and Betty Ford shared their tales.
Paula Baines, Eric Smith and Gunnar Ingolfsson were the evaluators for the evening’s speakers. It is always delight to see growth and improvement in our members. This a fantastic place to be empowered.
Betty’s tale about “Apple Bob” was chosen as Most creative Tale in the evening.
Donna Accetullo presented a very persuasive argument to Say no to soda.
Donna’s speech was selected as best speech for the evening. Congrats to Donna. She has completed her competent communicator manual. 🙂
Donna completed her competent leadership manual earlier this year.
Way to go, Donna.
Kevin Tremblay has one more speech to complete next week on June 17, then he too will have completed his competent communicator manual.
Mary Hunter shared that she will be honored for her volunteer work on June 28 at the Masons location, the former Bangor Theological Seminar on Union Street. Bangor Toastmasters members will be receiving further information.
Our next meeting will be June 17 at 7 pm at Beal College. Camara Bragdon will send out the agenda. Look for it in your e-mail. Our club president will be travelling for business, so Paula Baines, VP Membership/VP PR will be running the business part of the meeting. Paula will also be next week’s toastmaster.
Due to Beal being closed the last week of June, our July 1 meeting will be a cook out at 7 pm at Donna Accetullo’s home in Brewer. Directions will be posted to our closed FB page.
We will be a celebration. We will be hold our induction of officers for 2015-2016, as well as, give an “official” welcome to our new members that have joined since September of 2014.
Bring a sandwich or grill item for dinner and something to share. We will have lemonade, iced tea, juices and sodas on hand.
If you plan to attend, please email Paula Baines, incoming club president at
BangorToastmasters@gmail.com. Note in subject line: July 1 cook-out.
I think that is it for now.
Take care, enjoy this summer weather, and see you next week.
